Here are some tips To Choose a Best School for Your Child

Do Your Research

Choosing the right school for Khrishang was a very big thing for Deesha and me, knowing Khrishang was a little introvert, we wanted to give him an environment where he could open up and become confident. Keeping in mind he has a short attention span and gets distracted easily, we wanted to keep him in CBSE board, where he would have a lot of book study and learning. This blog talks about some of the points we kept in mind while selecting Apple Global School (Ahmedabad) for him.

Before you make your list of schools, think about what’s best for yourself and your child. Do they need more attention than others or the same amount? How does their personality fit in with how much freedom is given at school- are there strict rules that keep them on task all day long without any distractions like sports games going off course often times creating bad habits such as lackadaisical attitude towards homework assignments due later tonight (whoops)?

Armed with these questions answered crystal clear , put together an easy to follow criteria based upon which kind environment each prospective institution meets so none slip through our fingers!

 Affordability

When Khrishang was about 2 years old, Deesha and Myself were both picking up in business, funds were tight and we were managing to make ends meet. Like every parent, we just wanted the best for Khrishang. So we really did not think of this point at first, but luckily AGS(Apple Global School) set well into our budget.

It is important to consider the cost of a great school when you are deciding which school will best suit your child. You may even want to make sure that tuition fees for sports and extracurricular activities can be paid off with home or coaching outside their education system, which could help them cut down on costs in this area as well.

“It goes without saying,” indeed! The higher priced schools do come at an expense so it’s imperative we find ways adaptability within our budgets while still getting everything they need academically too.

Core Values of The School

This was a very important factor for us, we wanted khrishang to grow up in a cosmopolitan environment. We wanted him to learn and know about various cultures. Secondly, knowing he did not have any kids around him in our society, we wanted the school to have ample extra-curricular activities like sports and arts. In this perspective AGS was perfect, it was one of the only schools in Ahmedabad we found promoting sports like archery, golf & instruments like the Bagpiper.  Thirdly and most amazing fact was the core value of promoting “Green School” concept, from water saving to tree plantation, the school has been incorporating these values in kids since Jr.Kg.

When you are looking into schools, it is important that the philosophy behind education comes through in what they offer. Ask around and find out how a school approaches educating children by talking with founders or staff members; whether this focuses more heavily on academics than other aspects such as arts & sports?

The Infrastructure

We have all accepted the fact that our kids are growing up in Concrete jungles, this is why we did not want a school which was a building or had a small campus. We fell in love with AGS the moment we saw the school. The school had everything from a sports ground to kids play area. The Classrooms are built in a way to maximise use of sunlight, and yet have Air Conditioners. Not one part of the school is dingy or dark, with every area being open and spacious. Most importantly, the washrooms and common areas are clean and well maintained. The classrooms are spacious and have ample ventilation, every wall is creatively decorated with interesting facts for kids.

When you are looking at the infrastructure of a school, there’s more than just its academics that need consideration. Do they have a well-maintained playground with plenty of space for games and sports events? Are the classrooms clean, tidy, inspiring to teach in?
You also want to consider how well-maintained and clean all aspects within your child’s environment will be if they go here – from classrooms which display work done by students in class as well inspiring surrondings for them.

Does it Meet Your Child’s Needs?

The one and most important question, would the school be a perfect match for Khrishang?, well, so far it has been. Khrishang has always been a quick learner, but gets bored easily. The school’s approach to this has been wonderful, from the teachers to the way of teaching. He has been challenged and been appreciated. Khrishang from being extremely lazy, has already become active and loves sports.

You know your child well, so take into consideration the school’s particular approach to teaching and learning. Does it seem like they are a slow learner? Are there programs or extracurricular activities that can help them reach full potential when needed most in certain subjects such as math? Is this just because of their personality type – ambitious but not very sensitive sometimes-or would more challenging work suit better for someone who wants something outside themselves from time-to-time too instead of feeling stuck at one end all day long without any variety available?”

Academic Performance

Ok! So this is an important aspect, but Deesha and me are very laid back when it comes to academics. We want Khrishang study and get proper education, but we don’t want to push him and put peer pressure. We are satisfied with how he studies and how much he studies. In our basic research about AGS, we found the school has excellent academic performance in all aspects.

Extracurricular activities and divergent learning are much needed for the child’s growth; however, academic performance is just as important. Comparing school’s average exam scores in a district or state level can help you determine what kind of environment they have been stuck with throughout their time at this educational institution.

Look into how many ranks each student secured based on whether it be high-water marks from previous years that were missed due to poor performances by other students who now outrank them (a positive trend),

if there has been no fluctuation over several exams but instead steadily rising curves showing improvement overall – which might mean your team does really well academically so long term success will likely come fast!

School Curriculum

We were very adamant on having only CBSE, so we did not look any further.

Even though there are curriculums from boards such as CBSE, ICSE and IGCSE which one does the school teach? Of importance is subject combinations offered in higher classes such as 11th or 12th. Does this change depending on whether you’re at primary level or high-school levels? If it’s only for grades 1-5 then maybe consider looking into other options where your child may have access to more than just their local curriculum that covers up until about Grade 8 (or 9).

Pay a Visit to The Schools

If you’re looking for a school that will be perfect fit, then it’s time to visit the campus. During your visit make sure not only see what classes are offered but also how much fun students seem have in their education with these various extracurricular activities!

Teachers and The Staff

Great Teachers make Great Students! This is by far the most important aspect of selecting a school. We had seen Khrishang get scared and get distant from anyone who spoke strictly or was loud. So we needed teachers to be loving, someone who could understand Khrishang and his needs. The teachers at AGS, proved more than perfect!, we have seen Khrishang grow as a child and at the same time learned to respect, love and care for everyone around him.

As you visit the school, ask about their teachers and how long they have been teaching. Make sure to look at what type of qualifications these people hold as well as any training that may be required for certain subjects or grades levels taught in your selected institution – it could make all the difference with enabling children who struggle more than others get access some extra help when needed! You should also find out if there are specialists on staff such Psychologists or Speech Therapists to provide additional support around emotional issues affecting student performance academically; without them, we’re left only guessing whether someone has an issue until he/she breaks down over something insignificant

Talk to The Parents and Students

If you want to know the truth about any school, just talk with students and their parents. These people have first-hand knowledge of how well or poorly it is run; they’ll be able to tell if there are certain areas that need improving based on what others say in class (or online).

whether its academic performance in class or pastoral care when times get tough – then maybe there is something worth looking into before making that final decision.

  • Research is the building block for making an informed decision. With the tips in this article, you’ll be able to make a confident decision when it time comes for your child’s education.
